Matthew Filipowicz

Matthew Filipowicz is a comedian, cartoonist and satirist. He is the producer and host of Laughing Liberally Milwaukee and performs regularly with his sketch comedy troupe, the Accountants of Homeland Security.

Matthew’s work has been featured by CNN, NPR, PBS, HBO, BBC, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Atlantic, the Nation, the London Times, Ain’t It Cool News, Salon, Daily Kos and the Huffington Post.

Matthew trained at iO, Second City, and the Annoyance under teachers Del Close, Mick Naiper and Susan Messing. For six years he hosted the critically acclaimed and creatively titled Matthew Filipowicz Show. Before that he created a daily, satirical political cartoon for the website Headzup.tv, garnering millions of views.
